So we have now had this play mat for almost three years. The mat itself is great - big, soft enough to be comfy but firm enough for proper play. However, unfortunately as someone else mentioned it does get stained and marked and I haven’t been able to clean the marks off. So it does end up looking pretty grubby. Something I’ve just had to be ok with, but as my son got older we end up rolling it up and shoving it under the sofa when we’re not actively playing, because it looks a bit gross!
Also, the picture faded within a year or two. I’ve just myself redrawn the whole thing with help from the photo, which is what prompted me to write the review.
We bought it on discount, and I’m fairly happy with it despite the above, because it’s hard to find other natural products, but I do think for these reasons the high price isn’t justified.

I've had this mat for 2 years and despite cleaning with a damp cloth as advised, it's become terribly stained and looks dirty. I've contacted the company for advice about how to lift the stains but no one will respond to me. I was hoping such an expensive product would have a longer life and be a bit more hard wearing (especially as it's made for children).

I searched high and low for a play mat that was firm enough for learning how to walk but not made out of EVA or PVC foam. This was the ONLY one I could find. So I ended up paying almost as much in shipping to the U.S. as the mat itself. Thankfully it was worth it. Great material for my 7-month-old to get traction. Shock absorbent but firm enough for easy moving. Love the big size. My husband thought it wasn’t soft enough to be protective so I bought natural latex ones (had to get two to get the same floor coverage) with organic cotton covers from Piccalio. My son doesn’t use them nearly as much. They’re just too cushy for his stage of development. My only suggestion is more pattern options (or no pattern) or puzzle piece tiles like a lot of the EVA/PVC ones come in for versatility.
