Part of Pure Earth Collection’s long-term vision is to create more awareness around natural and non-toxic living and build a community of like-minded brands and consumers who share our passion for health, wellbeing and sustainability.
As a follow up to the Eco Mama and Baby Fair last July, we wanted to create something bigger and more focused on the whole family. The beautiful Re:Centre on the river in Hammersmith seemed like the perfect venue for our event. When we approached them with our idea, it was great timing as they had been thinking of something very similar, so we decided to join forces and co-host what became the Winter Wild Conscious Christmas Fair on 7 December 2019.
Here’s what it was all about…
BRANDS WHO SHARE VALUES
Christmas is a magical time of year but can also be a time for unnecessary waste and fast consumerism. We wanted to create a space for consumers to shop from a carefully curated selection of ethical brands all under one roof, making it easier to have a more sustainable Christmas. Bringing together brands who have similar values, who safeguard their workers, customers and planet in everything they do helps people to shop from companies who really care. The eco sector is so important so collaboration and support within this growing community will help it to become more mainstream.
WHO CAME
There were 25 stalls showcasing their beautiful and thoughtfully designed products and services. We had workshops and side events that were run by experts in their fields, Father Christmas paid us a visit, eco-bloggers came and between 600-1,000 shoppers arrived to enjoy the festivities and eat at the delicious vegetarian café at the venue (if you haven’t already been there, it’s well worth a visit!).

WHAT HAPPENED
Alongside the fair we hosted a number of workshops and side events, including a baby nutrition workshop, DoTERRA essential oils, Christmas wreath making, baby and family yoga, meditation sessions and much more! Shoppers ate mince pies and spiced drinks and kids played on the (locally famous!) indoor slide and chatted to Father Christmas.
AND WHAT’S NEXT?
With such amazing feedback from shoppers and so many requests from stallholders to do it again, we’ll be planning another sustainable fair for early summer. More information coming soon!
